Majolo

Max Alexander is a knitting artist who specialises in jewellery, sculpture and animation (or knitimation). His stop frame animation is combined with knitting - my current favourite of his is a short film called Learning to Knit.

Max's sculptures are brilliant - he manages to combine the cuddly and cute with the horrific and macabre. Fat bumble bees show off their razor sharp fangs, whilst lovable teddy bears stir up a stew of bloody eyeballs. The finished product is as unique as it is fascinating to look at.

However, if your taste is slightly more delicate, Max also makes a range of jewellery, including tiny knitted stud earings, knitting necklaces and button badges.
