Drinking coffee can make you draw (coffee pots) faster

Category: My Artwork

Bialetti mocha espresso machine

This illustration of my Bialetti coffee maker was inspired by an earlier post I wrote, funnily about my Bialetti coffee maker. It was a doodle I did whilst on lunch at work. I used to just stuff a couple of fine liner pens in the bottom of my bag for whenever inspiration struck and I wanted to sketch something. These days I actually take a whole pencil case with me full of coloured markers, pencils and even a glue pen, you know, just in case!

I really like the swirly steam coming out of the spout, and have been playing around with different ideas of swirly steam/smoke coming out of different objects. I had done a nice little sketch of a Roberts radio (I might post this one on a later date) but spoilt it. The swirly lines were supposed to symbolize the music coming out of the speaker, in the end it just looked like the radio was on fire.
