Minilogue-hitchhikers choice by Kristofer Strom

I love just really random doodles, you know, the type that you find yourself doing whilst on the phone, at work, bored on a train. Most of the time the doodle isn't of anything in particular, sometimes it's just a series of lines, shapes or interesting patterns. My favourite thing at the moment to doodle is a mixture of letters and numbers, I'm not entirely sure why, but I find the whole process of doodling entirely satisfying. Maybe it is because you don't get the pressure that you get when producing a 'finished piece of art'.

I also love stop frame animation.

This animation that I found on Youtube by Kristofer Strom combines doodling and stop frame animation. The whole thing is filmed on a whiteboard so the deletion of art becomes just as much part of the art as the creation of it. The film starts with a keyboard, which turns into a man who turns into a devil who turns into a rocket and then turns into a lollypop. Kristofer draws with marker pens, but he also has the ability to manipulate images just by running his fingers over the whiteboard - it's brilliant!

Creative, inspiring and inventive - enjoy!
