Stop frame animation - Art explodes on your shoes by Songs to wear pants to

I saw this youtube video and it reminded me of the birthday card I made for my niece Jessica.

The video is fairly short (1 minute and 4 seconds) but it is to the point and actually has quite a nice story. The best part though is the sound effects, if my converse trainers could talk, then this is how they would sound.

I really love stop frame animation and probably prefer it to computer generated animation. Stop frame animation is also known as stop motion and is the art of making an inanimate object appear to move by itself. The object is moved in small increments, frame by frame so that when it is played back it appears to be one continuous movement. My first memory of seeing this style of art was when I was at primary school and I used to watch Tony Hart on television. There was this character called Morph, he was made of plasticine, but he was so life-like and had his own personality, so as a child, I believed he was real.
